The receiver is dated "1942". The barrel was manufactured without sights and is marked "HERITAGE 25-06". The receiver is a brilliant polished blue with the original manufacturer's code "dot" and the year "1942" stamped on top of the front ring. The receiver has been drilled, tapped and fitted with a Redfield one-piece scope base and a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40mm scope. The bolt body has been polished and the handle is a smooth polished blue. The floor plate and trigger guard feature delicate floral scroll engraving with light gold colored fill. Mounted on a fancy fleur-de-lis checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with slight swivels and a checkered steel buttplate.
