Purchased by the U.S. in 1917. This rifle is featured in American Rifleman - June 2013 - "Better than a Broomstick: The Ross Rifle in U.S. Service," "U.S. Infantry Weapons of the First World War" page 89, and "U.S. Military Bolt Action Rifles" pages 307-309, all by Bruce Canfield. Includes a "U.S." marked bayonet, scabbard, and canvas sling.
