Description:

While not explicitly documented, nor guaranteed, this professionally customized DWM Model 1902 Luger Carbine shows a close match for the criteria given in Kenyon's "Lugers at Random" for the DWM 1902 Presentation Carbine (pg.78-79), including the 9000-range serial number with upper-case "C" suffix, and the Georg Luger "GL" monogram on the rear toggle. The original 1902 Presentation Carbines were produced under the direct supervision of Georg Luger himself, in an unknown but very limited quantity. Kenyon's work mentions that only four 1902 Presentation Carbines have been reported and only 3 verified, putting them in the upper tiers of Luger rarity. The chamber is gold-inlaid "J.L.M./FROM H.C.R./1903", with the DWM logo on the toggle link, booster-equipped forearm, checkered grips and a mixed numbered buttstock. "J.L.M." and "H.C.R." are not identified, but the use of "from" instead of the German "von" suggests one or both parties hailed from an English-speaking area, like America or Great Britain. A leather bound hardwood case is included, along with two extra magazines and a cleaning rod.
