Description:

Designed in the early 1940s to replace the M1 flamethrower. The M2 was used primarily in the Pacific Theater of WWII where it proved to be incredibly effective against entrenched Japanese forces. Features a WWII style hourglass pack frame with OD green canvas backing, two fuel tanks with later (Korean War) style vented fuel caps, central pressure tank, cast aluminum "-2" wand, and hose. Shoulder straps absent. Fine overall with most of the repainted OD green remaining, oxidation on the pack grommets, some chipping paint, and a visible dent on the right fuel tank that has been circled with black marker. Wand is about good with chipping paint, and possible internal parts needing maintenance.
