Description:

"Col. R L. Walker" inscribed on the top strap and British proofs on the cylinder. Includes consignor research suggesting that the inscription is for Colonel Reuben Lindsay Walker who would eventually become head of A.P. Hill's Third Corps artillery and participate in almost every major battle involving the Army of Northern Virginia.
