1) Shin gunto pattern sword, 35 3/4" OAL, 24 1/4" blade with wavy hamon and metal saya. The left side of the tang is signed (no "showa" stamp). A notable skin split runs from the tang along much of the blade's length, otherwise good overall. 2) Kai gunto pattern sword, 36" OAL, 25 1" blade with a straight hamon, lacquered saya. The tang is marked on both sides with black paint, a cut 3-figure signature on the left side, and a naval showa stamp. Good.
