"1830" dated lock and "1861" dated barrel. This musket is shown and discussed on page 73 of "American Military Shoulder Arms, Vol. 3" by George Moller and noted as Hewes & Phillips New Jersey Type II alteration. Includes a leather sling and socket bayonet.
