WW - WOOD IS WORSE FOR THE PERCENT FINISH RATING GIVEN
Per the included letter from Colt specialist and appraiser and co-founder of Antique & Modern Firearms, Inc. Charles B. Layson, this SAA was factory converted from .44 Henry Rimfire to .22 WCF circa 1888. Layson concludes that this revolver "remains at present as the only known first generation Colt Single Action chambered for the .22 WCF cartridge. As such, it is a rarity."
