Designed in the early 1940s to replace the M1 flamethrower. The M2 was used primarily in the Pacific Theater of WWII where it proved to be incredibly effective against entrenched Japanese forces. Features a rectangular pack frame with OD green canvas backing, two fuel tanks with non-vented fuel caps, central pressure tank, cast aluminum "-2" wand, and hose. Fine overall with most of the repainted OD green remaining, light oxidation on the bottom of the tanks, and some chipping paint. Wand is about good with chipping paint, and possible internal parts needing maintenance. Pressure tank latch absent. Funtionality not guaranteed. Provenance: The George Moller Collection
