Description:

Manufactured in 1857, "U.S." marked, and later engraved and gold inlaid and inscribed "Presented to Capt Henry Markell/By Co. A. 44th Inf. June 1, 1864." Includes a case with directions label inside the lid, powder flask, dual cavity bullet/ball mold, L-shaped combination tool, lead balls, cap tin, and some toe. Henry Markell was captain of Company A of the 44th Regiment of Iowa Volunteer Infantry.
