OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

"Crown/SH/C" crisply marked twice behind the lower tang. Sinclair, Hamilton & Company was one of the two main English suppliers of firearms to the Confederacy. "Crown" and "TOWER/1861" marked lock. "C.M" marked inside of lock. Birmingham commercial proof marked breech and two "25" gauge marks (indicates .577 caliber). "C. MAYBURY" maker marked stock. Includes percussion nipple protector attached by chain.
