Manufactured 1883. The included factory letter lists the rifle in .32 caliber with an octagon barrel, casehardened receiver, checkered stock, set trigger, and "$2.50" engraving when shipped on 26 April 1883. The engraving features a floral scroll and a standing buck on the left. The barrel and magazine have been shortened to their current lengths, the barrel has been bored out to the current caliber, and the chamber has been blocked with a piece of metal. "EU/GB" is stamped on the bottom of the receiver.
