Factory letter states revolver was shipped to the U.S. government inspector at the Colt plant on March 25, 1880 as part of a 150 unit shipment. Cylinder renumbered to match. "DFC" on barrel, frame, cylinder, and bottom of grip. Script letter cartouche on each side of grip with "1880" on the left side. With leather flap holster.
