Description:

1) French Chatellerault saber, 41" OAL, 35" blade with small Chilean crest in the left fuller, nickel finish. Very good. Client statements attribute the sword as a presentation from a Lt. Gen. Luis Guzman of the Chilean Army to a LTC Wheeler Laird in 1964. 2) Inscribed U.S. LF&C 1913 "Patton" Saber, 42 1/2" OAL, 35 1/2" blade, nickel finish. Etched "1930 Master of the Sword 1934 Major Harold M. Rayner/"First Blood in Battle is due the Heads"" on the right side of the blade; Major Raynor was Master of the Sword (head of physical education) at USMA West Point 1930-1934. Mild spotting, very good as polished/replated. 3) Bavarian Presentation Sword, 37 1/2" OAL, 31 3/4" blade with "IN TREUE FEST!" etching, and a black enamel sheath. The pommel is inscribed to a Squadron Leader Renner of the 6th Imperial Cavalry Division 1916-1918. During this time the 6th saw postings in Alsace, Flanders and Artois. Good, with minor spotting and wear.
