Description:

1) Army shin gunto sword, 38 3/4" OAL, 26" blade with slightly wavy hamon, maroon grip wrap and leather covered saya. Tang is unsigned, with three mekugi-ana (two in use), suggesting a shortened tachi-length blade. Fair overall, multiple nicks at edge and tip. 2) "Marine" shin gunto sword, 37 1/4" OAL, 26" blade, straight hamon, brown wrap, tan painted saya. Signed tang, with two mekugi-ana, two engraved and 3 painted symbols on the right, 6 engraved, two painted, and a faint "non-traditional stamp on the left. .Fair, with mild spotting. 3) "NCO" sword, 36 1/4" OAL, 26 1/4" machined blade. Fair, with custom painted decoration on the hilt and saya.
