OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.
"Crown/gothic letter" proofs, "1918" dated chamber. With "1918" dated Burghard leather holster. The holster is hand marked on the back with what appears to be a capture mark with "W. Young/102007/75. Battalion/Sept. 2/18", "DURY RIDGE", and "DROCOURT-QUEANT". There was a Walter Young in the Canadian 75th Infantry Battalion which was present at the attack on the Drocourt-Queant Line in September of 1918, he died of wounds shortly after the war ended on 23 December 1918.
