OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

Manufactured in 1866, the first year of production. As found on First Models, the left side of the lower tang is stamped with the serial number. Other early production features include the "flatside" brass receiver which lacks the flare at the junction with the forearm, flat loading port cover and two screw upper tang. Henry patent marking (faint) on the barrel. Matching serial number on the left side of the lower tang, stock inlet and buttplate. Trapdoor buttplate contains a 3-piece cleaning rod.
