34 3/4" OAL, 25 3/8" blade, silver plated habaki, copper tsuba with sculpted fu-dog accents, and late shin gunto pattern hilt and saya. Both sides of the tang are signed; a consignor-supplied translation gives it as the signature of Sasaki Minamoto Yoshitsugu, Mutsu Province, student of Tamba no Kami Yoshimichi, in 1803. The blade is fair, the fittings are rough.
