PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED
Manufactured in 1957, and subsequently engraved in Japan at the Santen Gun Shop as stated in the included notarized affidavit. The receipt (copy) states the engraving and silver inlays were performed by an engraver named "OGAWA". The document states the rifle was engraved in "1952" but this is likely an error. The barrel features an 8 inch section of fine, leafy scroll engraving. The receiver is fully engraved with matching leafy scroll, punch dot backgrounds, and small game scenes of a rabbit on the right and a pair of squirrels on the left. The animals are engraved in the Japanese style and each is rendered in semi-relief silver inlay. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with fancy floral scroll carving on the right side.
