This Colt Model 1911 is serial numbered in the range that dates it to 1916 manufacture and falls within a shipment of 600 pistols to the U.S.M.C. quartermaster depot in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The fantasy marking on the right side of the slide reads "MODEL OF 1911 U.S.M.C.". Full blue barrel with "P" on the left of the lug, and the magazine is a later, full blue, replacement.
