Description:

The factory letter lists this early New Service revolver in .44 caliber with a 5 1/2 inch barrel (currently 7 1/2 inches) and blue finish when shipped to Browning Brothers in Utah with another gun of this type on October 11, 1899. John Browning was working on his semi-automatic pistol designs at the time that became multiple successful models for Colt, including the famous Model 1911.
