Made by Jimmy Lile (died 1991), who was inducted into the Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame in 1984 and the ABS Bladesmithing Hall of Fame in 1999. The left side of this blade is inscribed "The 24th Annual Gun Report National Show June 1982 Best Edged Weapon Display", indicating that this knife either won an award or was given as a prize. 17 1/2" OAL, 12" clip point blade marked "LILE" on the left ricasso, silver guard engraved with floral motifs, and smooth grip scales. Very fine overall with some scattered light speckling on the blade and otherwise only the slightest handling evidence.
