Manufactured c. 1861-63. "MANF'D FOR SMITH & WESSON BY MOORE'S PAT. FIRE ARMS CO." (faint) marked barrel. Some Moore revolvers were known to have been privately purchased by Union officers and enlisted men during the Civil War.
