Frame manufactured 1874. Included factory letter lists this revolver by serial number as caliber .45 Colt, barrel length not listed and blue finish when shipped to the U.S. Government Springfield Armory on September 25, 1901 in a 100 gun shipment, and further states "The original records pertaining to this revolver were lost or destroyed many years ago. However, our records do indicate the return of this revolver for refurbishing and subsequent reshipment as noted above."
