Description:

This is a close copy of an early Civil War, New Orleans Leeds & Co. produced 6-pounder field gun. The ring of the muzzle is marked "LEEDS & CO./N. ORLEANS", while "NO./02" and "1860" are on the left and right trunnions respectively. The bore measures approximately 2 1/2", while the tube is approximately 49" long from muzzle to cascabel and 11" wide at the trunnions. The tube shows mostly a browned finish. Includes a disassembled hardwood carriage that appears correct showing the typical green enamel finish on the wood and black enamel on the iron. The tube is very fine retaining most of the brown finish with the balance a bright bronze. The carriage is very good, apart from one of the wheels that has multiple broke/absent spokes, retaining most of the green and black finishes. Some pieces of wood are also included, which may be the remainder of the broken spokes.
