Manufactured 1840s-1850s. Fitted with a globe front sight. Carved lions head at the forend of the stock. Engraving on the lock, hammer, sideplate, breech, upper tang, trigger guard and Scheutzen buttplate. Scene of a hunter engraved on the upper tang, and a scene of flags on the trigger guard. Initials "JTB" stamped on the toe of the buttplate. Includes a green painted metal ammunition box containing a false muzzle, muzzle plug, hooded blade front sight, and .40 caliber lead bullets.
