Description:

"L. COON" marked barrel. Levi Coon Sr. was active in the first half of the 19th century in Oswego, New York. His son was also a gunmaker in Ithaca. "ATKINSON/WARRANTED" lock. There is an obstruction in the barrel towards the breech end.

Description:

"J. SITES" marked on the left at the breech. John Sites Sr. and John Sites Jr. were gunmakers in Missouri, including in Booneville. The elder previously worked in Botetourt County, Virginia, until 1835. Jr.'s home and gunshop in Arrow Rock, Missouri, are historic sites. "ATKINSON/WARRANTED" lock setup so that it work if the trigger is set.
