Description:

Dated "1812" at the tail of the lock with script "US" above a federal eagle and shield above "SPRINGFIELD" in a curve at the center. "1811" dated buttplate. "US" marked with "P/eagle head/V" proofs at the breech with a deep condemnation mark. "AD" carved in left of buttstock.
