OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.
One of only around 2000 made in Watertown, New York, in the final years of the Civil War. It is equipped with a thick half-moon front sight, frame groove rear sight, "FREEMAN'S PAT. DECR 9. 1862" on the right side of the sight groove and "HOARD'S ARMORY, WATERTOWN, N.Y" on the left side of the groove, and smooth grips.
