Description:

Professionally executed oil on canvas copy of the work "Floyd's Command, Gauley Bridge, (West) Virginia" by famous Civil War era painter William D. Washington, who taught art at the Virginia Military Institute. The painting features a Confederate cannon crew aiming down towards a river. Including the frame it measures 47 5/8" x 40 5/8". The painting itself is very good with minimal wear, nice coloration, and a mild amber tint. The frame is very fine with minimal handling/storage wear.
