Fantastic silvered mirror image bronzes of a pair of great detailed mighty lions. These bronzes are in the style of Antoinne Louis Barye (Fr 19th C) which depicts a pair of lions in recumbent position with front paw up and bottom paws resting the animals. The flowing manes are highly detailed. Barye was famous for highly detailed depictions of wild life that are true in nature. The tails on each of the lions are pointed in different directions, which is why these lions are the mirror image of each other. Perfect for fireplace or entrance way. The dimensions are 19x28". Weight 24lbs each. Very good with storage and handling marks.
