PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED
Manufactured in January, 1945, per the included letter from the M1C Verification Service this receiver is recorded as an original Springfield Armory/Griffin & Howe M1C Sniper, with additional letters from the Civilian Marksmanship Program showing it as sold by the CMP as an M1C (no mention of specific configuration or accessories) in 1999. M1C rifles in this configuration were designated the "1952 Sniper", issued by the USMC c.1954-1967. With a "S-A-2-52" barrel, unmarked base (pin holes present in receiver, but do not align with base), "GRIFFIN & HOWE, INC./U.S." marked ring set, U.S. Kollmorgen MC-1 scope (very good), and a "MRT/10-52" cheek rest (sans screws). Also included is a CMP rifle case, canvas scope case, and Marine Corps/Stith-Kollmorgen 4XD scope manual.
