Serial number taken from loading gate and trigger guard. This revolver is a Model 1875 modified to "Model 1888" style with a shortened barrel and Model 1890 style web. The top strap is marked "COLT'S 45 ctg" and "BUCK GARRETT/ARDMORE OKLA" with crude punch marks. The cylinder fits a .44-40 and not a .45 Colt. The single loop holster has attractive floral tooling and mild wear. Also includes a "SHERIFF/BUCK GARRETT/CARTER COUNTY, OKLA." marked badge and with a "PAT./2066969" marked pin (dating to 1937-1954), an "ARDMORE/1/POLICE" marked badge, and a framed picture of Sheriff Buck Garrett and Deputy Sheriff Bud Ballew.
