Description:

Large, possibly Committee of Safety, colonial musket with heavy stock of American walnut. Lock and brass furniture are derived from early Brown Bess parts to include a pre 1760 lock with strong markings. Barrel is probably American. Evaluation by Dale C. Anderson, noted antique arms dealer and consultant, is included.
