Description:

The early Model 1862 Gatling guns used steel cartridge chambers that were themselves loaded with paper cartridges from the front and then primed with percussion caps at the rear. Later models used self-contained metallic cartridges. No markings are noted on this reproduction black powder Gatling gun. A crate for the Gatling gun, tripod (parts missing), two crates of stick magazines, two crates with black powder front loading .50 caliber reusable steel chambers/inserts designed for primers, and a box of the same configuration with percussion nipples on the back are included. Not mechanically tested. Tripod bolts and mounting piece absent.
