Description:

The included factory letter lists this revolver as manufactured in December of 1873, with no shipping destination given. The butt is stamped "US" at the heel and the barrel has been cut down. The letter further states that "This serial number seems high for those purchases by the Bureau of Ordnance, but there are no serial numbers given." implying that this could have been a revolver purchased by them.
