Manufactured in 1943. "S-A-5-43" marked barrel. With bayonet, sheath, leather sling, a copy of "The Guam Garands" by Scott A. Duff, which includes a Certificate of Authenticity placing this Garand as one of the 30 used by the Guam police force following the liberation of Guam and after the end of World War II, and the book "Guam: Operations of the 77th Division" by the Center of Military History; Duff notes that some of the Guam Garands were likely originally 77th Division weapons used in the battle of Guam before being used by the Guam Local Security Patrol Force and Guam Police.
