Description:

This unique fantasy example of a Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver with Thuer style conversion includes correspondence from Robert M. Jordon discussing this revolver and indicating it is discussed on pages 89 and 107 and shown on pages 105 and 106 of the book "Col. Colt Down Under" by Hayden Hughes and Robin Rapley where it is noted as a Tasmanian police revolver. It is also featured on page 208 of Jordan and Don Geri's book "Colt 1851 and 1861 Navies & Conversions." The revolver has been converted more recently, remarked, and "antiqued."
