This is a replica of a Model 1862 Type I percussion Gatling gun built by Jerry Clemmens of Davenport Iowa. There is a brass tag on the side of the action marked "GATLING GUN/-PATENT OF 1862-/BUILT BY J. CLEMMENS/DAVENPORT, IOWA 1982". The gun is mounted on a wheeled hardwood carriage with two wooden ammunition boxes on it. Includes eleven total magazines (ten on the carriage, one included separately), a tripod with crate, two metal ammunition cans containing numerous reloadable steel percussion sleeve cartridges, numerous boxes of lead bullets, various tools, small parts, two reloading presses and an empty wooden crate. The wheel base of the carriage measures approximately 59 1/4", and it measures approximately 95" from the muzzles to the tail of the carriage. Also includes a variety of documents and drawings pertaining to the gun and a November 1984 issue of "Civil War Time" which appears to picture the gun mounted on a tripod on the cover.
