1) Unmarked 1840 foot officer's pattern sword, 35" OAL, 30" blade, brass guard with American eagle and floral motifs, checkered grip scales, eagle head pommel. With gilt brass scabbard. 2) Berger marked light artillery/infantry officer's saber, 34 3/8" OAL, 29 1/4" curved and lightly etched blade, brass guard, smooth grip, eagle head pommel. Both are good with aged patina, mild wear, and some scattered light pitting. Scabbard is fine with most of the gilt finish and a few minor dents.
