Set of World War I German style "Sappenpanzer" armor. Generally too heavy for wear by German assault units, this type of armor was primarily utilized by machine gun crews and snipers. The grouping includes a breastplate with three articulated lower abdomen/groin pieces (now detached), as well as a German Model 1916 stahlhelm with partial liner. The stahlhelm shows a camouflage paint pattern and the other armor pieces are primarily painted a dark green. Pieces are generally fine showing some moderate chipping and wear of the paint and some scattered mild oxidation.
