Description:

Flight control stick and gyroscopic compass from a World War I era Fokker Eindecker fighter. The compass is in a metal housing which allows for rotation and yawing of the compass which is in a case with water and a glass top so as to not be effected by plane movement. The north pointer is painted red for easy distinction. The flight control stick consists of two wooden handles held to a rectangular metal wheel with a button in the middle. The fixture uses a screw to connect to the green painted rod. The whole control fixture is mounted to a black metal pipe stand. Very good with scuffing and wear to the paint on both pieces and some light surface pitting. The wooden grips have some minor dings and dents. The water in the compass appears to have been refilled at some point.
