Description:

Of the style popularized in the early 17th century to be used for defense in tandem with a rapier. 19 1/2" OAL, 13 1/2" blade with hand filed serrations on the lower edge and a faint maker's mark on the outer ricasso. Iron guard with long quillions, large knuckle guard with fleur-de-lis, and a wire wrapped grip. Fine showing aged patina, mild wear, and a minor crack visible on the inside surface of the blade.
