This revolver appears to be a prototype/experimental round barrel conversion of the Model 1849 Pocket in .32 rimfire. The breech plate and loading cut out are shaped somewhat differently than the usual Colt small frame conversion revolvers which were in .38 rimfire and .38 centerfire not .32 rimfire. It may be a "tool room" conversion like the Model 1851 Navy example shown in "A Study of Colt Conversions and Other Percussion Revolvers" by McDowell on page 376-377. The barrel has the one-line New York address and the matching serial number "11" is marked on the wedge, cylinder, arbor pin, barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap. Includes a Casa Fuente cigar case with interior fitted to the revolver.
