Manufactured in 1850. This revolver has the distinctive combination of a square-back brass trigger guard and rectangular cylinder stops found only on Second Model Dragoons. Only an estimated 2,700 Second Model Dragoons revolvers were manufactured around 1850 and 1851 compared to 7,000 of the First Model Dragoons and 10,500 Third Model Dragoons. The left of the frame is faintly marked "U.S." The matching serial number is stamped on the barrel lug, frame, cylinder, arbor pin ("373"), trigger guard, loading lever ("373"), wedge and back strap.

Good overall with some light pitting scattered throughout and some filler/repairs/minor cracks and handling marks on the grip. Mechanically fine.
