Manufactured in 1848. "ME." stamped on the right of the barrel and left of the frame. "COLT'S/PATENT/U.S." stamped on the left of the frame.

Fine overall with much of the original silver finish, some of the refinished blue finish, some scattered patches of light pitting, and a few scattered light handling marks on the refinished grip. Mechanically fine.
