Manufactured c. 1861-1862. Comes in a shared custom oak case with "B." The case has "GB" inscribed on the lid escutcheon and a "G. BOOTHROYD" metal label inside. Geoffrey Boothroyd (1925-2001) was a British firearms expert and author who advised Ian Flemming for the James Bond series and was the inspiration for the character "Q" aka "Major Boothroyd."

Fine with gray and brown patina, mild oxidation, and moderate wear. Mechanically fine. The case is good with some storage wear.

Fair with replacement front sight, moderate oxidation/pitting, refinished blue, original silver on the trigger guard, and moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
