The revolver is accompanied by a letter from noted Single Action Army authority John Kopec noting this serial number was already in his records as a trigger guard fitted to Artillery Model sn. 116386 and that this revolver has been spuriously modified into the current configuration. A factory letter stating no records were available for this serial number is also included.

Good overall as refinished, with re-stamped numbers, a lengthened barrel, patches of light pitting, handling marks and some carved notches in the left of the grip. Mechanically fine.
