Manufactured 1894 per Madis, left of lower tang marked "1922 XXX", "1922" repeated in stock inlet and inside buttplate. Includes a hardwood takedown case with interior label featuring a crown over "V".

Fine overall with some original finish, some scattered small patches of light pitting, and the refinished wood having some scattered light handling marks and recut checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is good.
