This is one of the early 19th century Baker rifles converted for use with a socket bayonet (Pattern 1800/1815). Includes a leather patched round ball and a sword bayonet for a Baker rifle (not compatible). Surplus Baker rifles are known to have been used by the Mexican military, including at the Battle of the Alamo.

ConditionGood overall as refinished and reconverted to flintlock with moderate oxidation and pitting, dark aged patina on the furniture, and moderate wear, including some small chips and general scratches and dings on the stock. Mechanically fine. The bayonet is also good with extensive pitting, aged patina on the hilt, and moderate wear.
